Migration is a Hari Walner design. The birds were trapunto, a technique where an extra layer of batting is added to provide more contouring. The small meandering around the birds enhances the trapunto. The second photo is a close-up to better illustrate the quilting. This wall hanging was featured in the September/October Quiltmaker magazine. It is 42" x 42".
The inner triangles were quilted using continuous curve. The red triangles in the border were quilted using straight line quilting.
